2018 Mascoma Valley Parks & Recreation Report

 Canaan Recreation and Enfield Recreation have been fortunate enough to receive grants from UV HEAL, the Children’s Fund and Mascoma Savings Bank to hire a half time Recreation Coordinator to allow us to grow recreation activities in both towns and to share in resources and ideas where feasible.

The Goals for Canaan are as follows:
Staff, supervise and coordinate our Canaan beach program;
Provide information on all recreation programs through school flyers, Play Mascoma! newsletter, web site information, posters and flash emails;
Double the number of programs offered throughout the year and create programs for youth and adults;
Recruit volunteers and program leaders for the programs;
Partner with other town organizations offering recreation or leisure activities including the Senior Center, the Library and area schools;
Coordinate building and field usage;
Explore uses for other community buildings;
Raise funds for the programs through grants, donations, fund-raisers and users fee;
Explore ways to cooperate with Enfield.

Monday night yoga classes are held weekly at the Meeting House in the summer and at the Mascoma Community Center during the colder months.

*If you would like to attend the Monday class, please send me an email by 4:30 pm on Monday. 

We will continue to limit the size of the classes to nine students. 

Please wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer available at the front door and in the Physical Medicine room. 

Please bring cash or a check made out to Sonya Carter.

 $12 adults/$10 seniors and students. 

Please bring your own filled water bottle, yoga mat and any other props you would like to use (blocks, strap, blanket).  No props will be available. 

Please remember:  If you have a cough, are running a fever, or have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms please do not come to class.

CASP 2021-2022

Canaan Afterschool Program runs at the Canaan Elementary School and offers sessions Monday – Friday 3:15-6:00pm
CASP is not in session during school closings or snow days.

Cost: $10 day for regular school day
$15 for Early Release Day
