We are comprised of six full time officers and one full time administrative assistant. With approximately fifty-four square miles, Canaan is one of the largest towns in the State of New Hampshire.

Drug Take Back
The Canaan Police Department maintains an official DEA Drug Drop Off Box in the Station Lobby, 52 NH Route 118 Canaan, New Hampshire 03741.
Returning unused prescriptions prevents pill abuse and theft by ridding our homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal.
The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
