Public hearings to amend the Historic
District regulations, and a bay window configuration change at 400
Canaan Street.
Public hearings at Meetinghouse, Monday, 9/16/2024, 8 PM, 465 Canaan St.
Proposed Historic District Regulation changes include:
Section I was revised to specify items which do not require Commission
approval. These items where previously located in the Rules of Procedure.
Section II was revised to specify criteria to be considered when
reviewing application. These items where previously located in the
Rules of Procedure.
Section XII was revised to make definitions consistent with the above
added text and the entire document. The definition of structure was
modified such that vinyl glad fences, firepits, lantern posts don’t
require Commission approval. Other editorial changes were made.

Notice is hereby given for a public hearing for a new window
configuration on the bay window structure facing the street at 400
Canaan Street, on property owned by the Rita M. Forbush revocable Trust,
map I-D lot 12.
The hearings will begin at 8:00 PM, Monday September 16, 2024 at the
Canaan Meetinghouse, 465 Canaan Street. Application, regulations, and
